Roger Ross, Jr. Interim Executive Director & CFO


Roger F. Ross received his education from Duquesne University and holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and Finance. Prior to joining the Morean Arts Center, he was the Vice President of Business and Finance and Controller for the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA.

Roger brought his 25 years of corporate finance experience to the Morean Arts Center in 2011. He used his expertise to improve the financial stability of this institution through the review of existing operations and the implementation of efficiency measures and policies and is responsible for all financial aspects of the organization. He helped payoff a $6.2 million debt reducing the leverage of the institution. He is in charge of the implementation of the financial accounting and reporting systems used by the institution including a retail sales a ticket component.

Ross played a key role in negotiation the donation of the Seaboard Train Station valued at three million dollars. He led efforts in the relocation of the Chuhily Collection to a larger space, under more favorable financial terms, uniting the Arts Center in one location. He has been instrumental in increasing fundraising efforts as well as completing the expansion of the Clay Center.
